Oral Corrective Feedback and Error Analysis: Indonesian Teachers’ Beliefs to Improve Speaking Skill

This research was to investigate Indonesian teachers’ beliefs about the application of oral corrective feedback in students’ EFL classrooms. It limited given for lexical, phonological, and syntactical errors English conversation class. The participants this were 36 teachers 65 students as a foreign language. utilized both qualitative quantitative approaches, including use close-ended questionnaire, semi-structured interview, audio-recording find effectiveness on speaking skills. data analysis revealed: (1) grammatical proficiency, (2) most type feedback, (3) uptake skills, (4) (5) kinds error based experiences, (6) self-awareness language errors, (7) way teacher when delivering (8) reasons beliefs, (9) motivations feedback. These findings suggested that should understand diverse needs, concerns, expectations toward correction according their level proficiency.
